Savage Sixth World : Hawaii Edition
Human Rigger from the Allied German States on "vacation" in the Kingdom of Hawaii
Max Wagner was a freelance rigger on the rise in Europe when he landed a dream job of escorting a high level Saeder-Krupp executive to the Kingdom of Hawaii and providing for his transportation needs as well as serving as a personal bodyguard and assistant. The first few days on Lanai were heaven as they lounged around the hotel pool and played tourist, but the business deal in Honolulu turned out to be an ambush and assassination from which Max himself barely escaped. Now Max’s meal ticket is dead. His vehicle gone. His drones and equipment on the otherside of the world. His credstick low. His rep in ruins. His contacts non-existent. His prospects bleak. He has a paranoid feeling that his good luck wasn’t luck at all, that perhaps he was selected because he was an expendable pawn in a corporate in-fighting game. Max can’t get back to Berlin. Certainly not on the Saeder-Krupp suborital he flew in on or on a commercial flight for that matter. He is stuck, broke, angry, desperate, paranoid and looking for work to survive as he tries to find out who murdered his client and why and if it is safe to return home. In the meantime he has been hanging out in the seedier bars and clubs of Honolulu trying to make contacts and running into walls of indifference and at times hostility because he is not only an outsider, but a broke outsider. He has taken to drink, but has avoided Nova Coke and BTL’s as he was a junkie and common street tough as a teenager in Berlin and knows that if he falls off the wagon in this strange land, that he will never get back to the Allied German States. The only upside of having been a SINless junkie teen, is that it gave him the skills needed to live on the streets and operate off the grid.
